Man kidnapped, driven to various gas stations and forced to withdraw cash

ST. LOUIS ( – A man told police he was kidnapped and forced to withdraw various amounts of cash at local gas stations late Tuesday night.

According to the 55-year-old victim, he was riding his bike in an alley near the 700 block of North Kingshighway when a burgundy vehicle pulled alongside him around 9:00 p.m. The victim told police two unknown suspects exited, approached him and one of the suspects showed a gun.

The suspects demanded money from the victim and forced him into their vehicle.

After the victim got into the vehicle, he was driven by the suspects to four unknown gas stations where they demanded him to withdraw various amounts of money.

After taking the victim to the gas stations the suspects dropped the victim off on Kingshighway.

Both suspects are described as being between 18 and 20 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 and 140 to 150 pounds. One of the suspects has medium braids and was wearing a red shirt at the time of the incident. The second suspect was wearing a white t-shirt at the time.

According to police, the victim changed his account of what occurred numerous times.

The investigation is ongoing.
