Struggling St. Peters business park turnaround may bring jobs

ST. PETERS, Mo. -

A major business park development in St. Peters that has struggled for years may now be on the verge of a major turnaround.

The mayor of St. Peters says Duke realty plans on building a half a million square foot warehouse and office building at the site of the "Premiere 370" development, which the city believes will lead to a dramatic change for the business park that has been around for years, but currently has only one tenant.

It's possible the development will become a multi-use project similar to the development in St. Charles at the Old Noah's Ark site with street level business and apartments above.

The new warehouse and office building will take up about 30 acres of the 900 acre site.

A planning and zoning meeting will be held in St. Peters Wednesday night, and if there are no setbacks, ground could break on the new building in the next 60 days.
