Meghan Danahey

Meghan Danahey joined the 4 Warn Storm Team in April of 2014. She is KMOV's 4Warn meteorologist on News 4 at Noon and News 4's newscast at 5 p.m.
Meghan has earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society. She currently serves on their national Board of Broadcast Meteorology. She has also earned the Broadcaster's Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association. She currently serves on their national Education Committee. Meghan also serves as President of the St. Louis Chapter of the AMS/NWA.
Meghan has a wide range of forecasting experience. In tornado alley she was the Chief Meteorologist at KAUZ-TV, Wichita Falls, Texas. She covered everything from wildfires to waterspouts in Fort Myers, Florida at WBBH-TV, including a direct hit from Category Three Hurricane Wilma. Meghan also worked in Dallas and Austin, Texas. Most recently, she earned an Emmy nomination for her work on a severe weather special as a meteorologist for WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. She also shares an Emmy Award for WCNC's continuing coverage of the deadly Rock Hill tornado in November 2011.
When she's not playing golf, Meghan enjoys dabbling in her garden and kitchen. Meghan and her husband, Marcus, love to go hiking with their rescue dogs, Remi, Rooster and Roxie. They enjoy exploring art shows and dreaming up new travel adventures. Meghan also loves spending time with her two nephews and one niece in Texas.
Meghan is deeply passionate about the fight against cancer and serves on the planning committee for St. Louis Relay for Life. She is equally passionate when it comes to animal rescue. Meghan loves to work with small independent rescue groups, as well as, Humane Society of Missouri. She enjoys hosting their annual Second Chances Telethon on KMOV. Tune in every Monday at noon for her "Pet of the Week" segment with the sweet pups and kitties from the Animal Protective Association. Another one of Meghan's favorite community partnerships is the Woman Build with Habitat for Humanity.
