(Missouri Football App) – On Saturday, the Missouri defense will be facing a challenge tougher than many believe.
Toledo is returning nine starters from an offense that averaged 31.5 points a game in 2012. The Rockets also ranked 32nd (out of 124 FBS teams) in total offense, averaging 444.6 yards per game.
Senior quarterback Terrence Owens is someone to watch out for. The third year starter only threw for 155 yards last week against a good Florida defense; but at times, he and the Rockets’ offense moved the ball but couldn’t finish drives.
Mizzou fans should expect to see a stronger performance against the Tigers. Owens finished 2012 with a 134.7 QB rating and a completion percentage over 61 percent.
The Mizzou defense did not face a serious test against Murray State. Saturday, it will see an up-tempo experienced offense that is led by a capable and effective quarterback.
