(Missouri Football App) – Making an incredible interception and running it back for 70 yards not only got Marcus Golden on the highlight reels, it also scored him a top honor this week from the SEC.
Golden, the Tigers’ junior defensive lineman, was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding play.
Golden got the second half going when he forced Toledo quarterback Terrance Owens to rush and flub his pass. Golden grabbed the ball out of the air and hustled down the field for the pick-6.
Golden was a record setting running back and linebacker at Affton High School where during his senior year he ran for 2,264 yards and scored 30 touchdowns.
Golden is the son of Markus Eberhart and Rhonda Golden.
