COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- Mizzou’s star defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson won the Southeastern Conference’s defensive lineman of the week award for his play against Kentucky on Saturday.  Mizzou won the Homecoming football game 33-10.

The junior Richardson finished the game with 5 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.  Richardson and the rest of the Mizzou defense limited Kentucky to just 10 points on the scoreboard.

The victory on Saturday puts Mizzou 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the SEC.  Mizzou fans celebrated the victory on Saturday because it was Mizzou’s first in-conference victory since joining the conference during the summer.
