(Missouri Football App) -- Red shirt senior linebacker Will Ebner has put injuries behind him and is finally getting the opportunity to show what he can do.

Ebner's 2011 season was a wash after suffering a concussion in the season opener against Miami of Ohio. In the 2010 season, the Friendswood, Texas native played through the pain of various neck and foot problems.

Now the 6-foot, 230-pound defensive horse is on the field, making plays and his coach couldn't be happier.

“Will is a talented player – he’s just been hurt his whole career.  It’s just now that you get to see him play every week that you see what kind of player he is and how talented he is and how tough he is," said coach Gary Pinkel.

"Now he’s a senior, a captain, a leader, and doing some really great things on a consistent basis.  It’s certainly nice to see that and it’s great for him too, because the guy has been hurt so much in his career that its nice to finally go out and play and people can see what kind of player he is."
