COLUMBIA (Missouri Football App) - The Missouri Tigers have found an opponent to round out their 2013 schedule.
On Wednesday, the Missouri Athletic Department announced it has reached an agreement to play a two game series with Arkansas State. The Red Wolves will visit Columbia on Sept. 13, 2013 and the Tigers will take a trip to Jonesboro, AR on Sept. 12, 2015. Kickoff for the 2013 match-up will be announced this summer.
Arkansas State finished 2012 with a 10-3 record, the Sun Belt Conference Championship, and defeated Kent State 17-13 in the Go Daddy.com Bowl. The two schools have met twice previously on the gridiron. In 2004 the Tigers beat the Red Wolves 52-20 in Columbia. In 2005, Mizzou prevailed 44-17 in Kansas City.
Arkansas State will be Mizzou's last non-conference foe in 2013. The Tigers open the season on Aug. 31 against Murray State at home, they then host Toledo, and go on the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers before hosting the Red Wolves.
