For Openers...

> Mizzou Basketball returns to Kansas City for the first time since winning the 2012 Big 12 Tournament as it takes on a talented Hawaii club (2-1) at Sprint Center Saturday night at 6 p.m. ... Tickets for Saturday’s game can be purchased through the Sprint Center and start at just $10.

> Missouri will be looking for a 3-0 start for the fifth consecutive season ... The Tigers are coming off a pair of home victories and will play their first game away from Mizzou Arena on Saturday ... Missouri has a five-game winning streak at Sprint Center and is 7-5 all-time in the facility ... Head Coach Frank Haith’s clubs are 5-0 all-time at Sprint Center, including the CBE Championship in 2011 where Missouri enjoyed wins over Notre Dame (87-58) and No. 20 California (92-53).

> Want a good illustration of the “newness” of this 2013-14 Tiger squad? Missouri played those five games at Sprint Center in 2011-12 and none of these current Tigers were available for the games ... Earnest Ross and Danny Feldman were sitting out as redshirts and were not allowed to play per NCAA rules.

> In fact, Tim Fuller, Missouri’s Associate Head Coach, will be the only full-time assistant returning from that coaching staff ... Fuller will serve as interim head coach for three more games before Haith returns on Nov. 26.

> Due to that roster turnover Missouri has been working hard on the recruiting trail and the program announced the signing of forward Jakeenan Gant, a consensus Top 50 forward from Springfield, Ga., to a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 13 ... Gant is ranked as the top player in Georgia and is Mizzou’s second Top 50 forward to sign with the program over the last two years (joining Johnathan Williams, III).

> Mizzou is looking for its 101st win in Kansas City all-time on Saturday ... The Tigers are 100-90 (.526) in Kansas City, which includes conference tournament play in the Big Seven, Big Eight and Big 12 ... Since 1971-72, Mizzou is a very good 60-33 (.644) in K.C.

> Missouri has been very good in neutral-site games over the last two seasons ... The Tigers are 11-4 in neutral games since Frank Haith arrived at Mizzou and are a perfect 7-0 in neutral games in the state of Missouri (Kansas City and St. Louis) with Haith as Head Coach.

> The Tigers continue to get excellent scoring from their starting guard tandem of Jabari Brown, Jordan Clarkson and Ross ... Together the veteran trio combined for 59 of Mizzou’s 72 points in the win over Southern Illinois, to go with 16 rebounds and nine assists.

> That trio will play a big role in Mizzou replacing 63 percent of its points, 65 percent of its rebounds and 76 percent of its assists from last season’s 23-11 campaign.

> Although today’s game is away from home, Missouri owns a 20-game homecourt winning streak at Mizzou Arena dating back to the final home game of the 2011-12 campaign ... That winning streak ranks No. 3 nationally ... South Dakota State owns the longest active home winning streak at 30 games.

> Missouri Basketball will return home on Nov. 23 to face Gardner-Webb at Mizzou Arena ... The Tigers will play back-to-back home games vs. the Runnin’ Bulldogs (Nov. 23) and IUPUI (Nov. 25) ... Those games were scheduled as part of the Las Vegas Invitational and upper level seats are just $5 for each contest.

Mizzou Basketball Cliffs...

> Mizzou Basketball faces Hawaii at Sprint Center on Saturday night and the Tigers will be facing the Rainbow Warriors for the first time since the 1995 Rainbow Classic in Honolulu.

> While the Tigers will not face Hawaii next season, the club does head to the Islands for the 2014 Maui Invitational ... Also included in that great Maui field will be: Arizona, Purdue, Pittsburgh, BYU, San Diego State, Kansas State and the host university, Chaminade.

> Missouri is playing its earliest game away from home (Game 3) since the 2010 Cancun Challenge ... The Tigers won that event with victories over Wyoming and LaSalle ... The Nov. 16 calendar date away from home is Missouri’s earliest since the 1999 NABC Classic in Syracuse, N.Y. (Nov. 12-13) vs. Wisconsin and Princeton.

> Mizzou is making its return Sprint Center since winning the 2012 Big 12 Championship, it’s final as a member of the conference ... Missouri has won five consecutive games at Sprint Center, its longest streak in the facility.

> Mizzou is facing its first of two Big West Conference opponents this season ... The Tigers will play Long Beach State, winners of three consecutive Big West regular-season crowns, on Jan. 4 at Mizzou Arena.

> Hawaii forward Christian Standhardinger will face Missouri for the second time in his career ... The senior played a little more than one season at Nebraska (2009-11) before transferring ... He averaged 8.1 points as a freshman and 9.5 as a sophomore for Doc Sadler’s Cornhuskers ... In his lone game vs. Mizzou (Feb. 20, 2010, in Lincoln) he had seven points and three rebounds in 13 minutes ... Missouri won the game 74-59 thanks to 24 points off the bench from then-sophomore Marcus Denmon.

> Jordan Clarkson recorded the first 30-point game of the SEC season on Tuesday and logged the 26th 30-point game during Missouri’s SEC / Big 12 eras ... Clarkson needed just 18 shots to reach 31 points (12-of-18 FGs), and is one of just two Tigers during the two eras to have 30+ points, 5+ assists and zero turnovers ... Clarence Gilbert had a ridiculous 43 points, nine assists and zero turnovers vs. Iowa State in a four overtime win on Jan. 13, 2001.

> Mizzou continues to feast in the month of November over the last few seasons ... The Tigers are 13-1 in November since 2011 and are 40-6 in November since 2006.

> Mizzou will look to continue its homecourt domination vs. non-league foes next weekend vs. Gardner-Webb ... Overall Missouri has won 75 consecutive home games vs. non-league opposition since the end of the 2005-06 campaign ... In fact Mizzou has won 47-of-50 regular season non-league games (regardless of site) since Dec. 12, 2009, dating back to a road loss at Oral Roberts.

> In that Gardner-Webb contest the Tigers will look to extend its 20-game home court winning streak at Mizzou Arena ... The Tigers have not lost at home since the 2011-12 season and Frank Haith is 34-1 on his home court, including this current stretch with Tim Fuller serving as interim.

> Missouri is receiving votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 polls ... The Tigers are ranked No. 35 by the Coaches and No. 40 by the media.

> Head Coach Frank Haith enters his third season at Missouri and will look to lead the Tigers to their third consecutive 20-win campaign ... Only Norm Stewart, Quin Snyder and Mike Anderson have enjoyed three 20-win seasons at Mizzou ... Stewart of course led the way with 17 20-win campaigns ... Snyder and Anderson each had three ... Haith will resume his coaching duties Nov. 28 vs. Northwestern at the Las Vegas Invitational.

> Missouri has won at historic levels over the last five seasons and MU begins its search for a sixth consecutive 20-win campaign on Friday ... In fact the Tigers have won 23+ games each of the last five seasons.

> The five consecutive 20-win seasons is a school record and Missouri’s five consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament is the longest active streak in the Southeastern Conference.

> Mizzou Arena has been the site of two undefeated home seasons in its history ... Missouri was 18-0 in 2008-09 and was 17-0 at home last season ... Hearnes Center, the former home of Missouri Basketball, was the site of five undefeated home campaigns (1974-75, 1980-81, 1988-89, 1989-90 and 1993-94).

> Missouri has been incredible at home in non-conference games the last six years ... Overall the Tigers have won 75 consecutive non-league games at Mizzou Arena and are 86-4 at home (all games) since 2008-09.

> Since 2006-07 (68-0) the club’s margin of victory has been 26.4 points in those non-league home tilts.

> Mizzou will have two transfers sitting out this season ... Zach Price transferred from Louisville, where the 6-foot-10 forward was a member of the Cardinals’ NCAA National Championship team ... Deuce Bello transferred from Baylor ... Both will be classified as redshirt juniors next season.

> Mizzou will be on national television a school-record  20 times this season ... That number has grown each of Mizzou’s two years in the SEC ... The Tigers were on national TV 18 times last season, which was also a school record.

> Mizzou was picked fifth in the Southeastern Conference’s preseason media poll ... Kentucky was the projected league champion.
