CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois coach John Groce believes the Illini game Saturday at No. 23 Missouri will come down toughness and individuals making plays.
But Groce worries his Illini have been less than tough lately down the stretch.
Illinois (9-2) fell last weekend at then-No. 15 Oregon after leading in the second half.
Groce says his team’s defense over the final eight or nine minutes wasn’t good.
But he says the Illini will have no problem getting up for the annual Braggin’ Rights game against undefeated Missouri (10-0) in St. Louis.
Groce said this is one game his players talk about all the time.
