(HockeyStL) -- One day after Barret Jackman reached a milestone of playing in his 600th NHL game, Alex Steen reached the 500th career game milestone.

Steen, the 24th overall pick of the Maple Leafs in 2002, has played 247 games as a member of the Blues.  Only 13 players from the 2002 NHL Draft, which included Rick Nash and Duncan Keith, have played more games than Steen.

Steen scored the game-winning shootout goal against the Predators on Monday and has posted 278 points (115 goals, 163 assists) in his career.

The 28-year-old center has three assists this season.
