(HockeySTL)-- Jaden Schwartz is set to hit a milestone on Thursday, as he is expected to suit up for his 100th career National Hockey League game.

Schwartz is expected to be in the lineup against the New York Rangers on Thursday, and will be donning the Note for the 100th time since joining the Blues in 2012.

Schwartz, who was selected in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, has 25 goals, 50 points in 99 career games with St. Louis. Of those points, 34 have come this season, in which Schwartz is proving his NHL effectiveness.

Schwartz has played in a top-line role with the Blues for the majority of the season, and is third on the team in goals-scored. The forward also has a team-high plus/minus rating of plus-21. At one point in the season, he led all NHL players in that category.

“He’s just a good player. He’s got confidence and he’s strong on the puck,” said Head Coach Ken Hitchcock earlier in the season. “He’s a great 200-foot player. When you have enough of those guys, that is what wins you championships.”

This will be Schwartz’s first full season with the Blues. Last season was shortened due to the NHL lockout, and in the previous year Schwartz had only a brief NHL stint after joining the Blues following the conclusion of Colorado College’s season. Schwartz’s transition to the NHL was fluid, and the forward spent only a brief time in the American Hockey League, due only to last season’s lockout.

Of the Blues’ two 2010 first-round draft picks, Schwartz will be the first to reach the 100-game mark. Vladimir Tarasenko is currently 15 games from that particular milestone.
