Blues goaltender Ryan Miller is now a free agent, and will likely receive contract offers from multiple teams when the playoffs conclude. As he packed up his equipment for the final time at the Mills practice facility, Miller said he’d be interested in returning to St. Louis.

“I’m definitely open to it,” said Miller. “I don’t close any avenues with anybody.”

Miller had only been to St. Louis a couple of times before while with the Buffalo Sabres, and said he was impressed with the city and the fans here. “It’s nice. Good people, very passionate. As (mad) as they are with me right now, that’s good. It shows they’re committed to the team, and have passion and pride.”

Miller had some rough moments in the first round series loss to the Blackhawks. In six games, he had a 2.70 goals against average and a save percentage of .897. He’s heard the criticism of his play from fans and media.

“If we didn’t win the Stanley Cup there was going to be a lot of criticism. It’s amplified in the first round losing to Chicago. It’s disappointing to lose four games. They were all essentially one goal games. The will was there, we wanted to be there and battle and win, we just couldn’t get it done.”
