(HockeyStL) -- While the Toronto Maple Leafs became the first NHL team to be worth $1 billion, the St Louis Blues sat at the bottom of Forbes’ NHL value list.
According to Forbes, the Blues are worth $130 million and trail the next to last Phoenix Coyotes by $4 million.
The Blues, including the AHL Peoria Rivermen, the Scottrade Center and a “substantial” interest in the Peabody Opera House, were sold last May to Tom Stillman for around $130 million. Last December, Forbes valued the Blues at $157 million, which ranked 27th out of 30 NHL teams.
The Blues one-year value change dropped 17 percent, which was also worst in the league. The next closest was the Columbus Blue Jackets, which dropped 5 percent.
