(HockeyStL) -- St. Louis Blues goaltender Brian Elliott has been named the NHL’s second star of the week.

Elliott posted a 3-0-0 with a 1.45 goals against average, .952 save percentage and one shutout in three games played this week.

After Jaroslav Halak went down with a lower-body injury against the Minnesota Wild on April 1, Elliott stopped 19 shots to help the Blues win 4-1. Elliott recorded a season-high 33 saves on 36 shots faced in a 4-3 shootout win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. In a 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings, Elliott posted his first shutout of the season en route to stopping 28 shots faced.

The three wins come after Elliott was sent down to the AHL-affiliate Peoria Rivermen for a two-game conditioning stint late last month. It appears to have worked.

He had won only three of his previous eleven games played in prior to this week.

Elliott has posted a 6-6-1 record with 3.14 goals against average and .879 save percentage in 14 games played this season.

Alex Ovechkin and Henrik Lundqvist were the other two stars of the week.
