(HockeyStL) – The St. Louis Blues fell short after a late charge against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday. Here are some interesting and noteworthy tidbits to take from the game:
- Alex Steen played in his 500th career NHL game. Steen, who was drafted 24th overall by the Maple Leafs in 2002, had an assist in the loss. Only 13 other players from the 2002 NHL Draft have played more games than Steen.
- Vladimir Tarasenko was penalized for the first time in his career. He was called for tripping Dave Bolland in the second period.
- Andy McDonald scored a third period goal and now has a six-game point streak against the Blackhawks. He has six goals and two assists during the stretch.
- David Perron recorded his 100th career assist on a goal scored by T.J. Oshie in the third period.
- Since 2011-12, the Blues are 7-9-2 in games with zero days of rest. The team has a record of 44-14-9 when they have had at least one day of rest during that stretch.
