(HockeyStL) -- St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka is placed on IR after taking a puck to the left ankle during practice on Monday.

Sobotka was seen leaving the rink on crutches and in a boot on his left foot after he was struck by a shot from Alex Steen during practice.

Sobotka is expected to miss at least two weeks due to the injury.

Sobotka has ten points (two goals, eight assists) and plus-nine rating in 27 games this season.
