(HockeyStL) -- There was a twist to the Blues lineup for the first time this season. Chris Stewart jumped to play alongside Andy McDonald and Alex Steen while Vladimir Tarasenko dropped down to play with Jaden Schwartz and Patrik Berglund.
The change produced one goal, which was scored by Alex Pietrangelo, and eventually led to another lineup change at the beginning of the third period.

At this point, the Blues look lost in every aspect: offensively, defensively and coaching.
The Blues have produced only two goals in its last two games, both scored by Alex Pietrangelo. You would have to go back to the 5-3 loss at Detroit to find a forward that has a goal. The forward accounted for two of those goals (Patrik Berglund and Matt D’Agostini) while Kevin Shattenkirk added the other one.
All is not well for the defensive lines either. The team has allowed five or more goal in each of the last three games. It’s the first time since November 17, 2010.
For the first time since Ken Hitchcock was hired by the Blues, fans have a reason to gripe about the coaching. Inconsistent moves, including odd lineup changes, may be hurting the Blues. It seems as if the team gets down the leaders panic.
Pulling names from a hat will not work in the NHL. Adjusting to the other team’s scheme may be a better option then throwing your hands up in frustration. That’s what the team did last season.
Now all seems lost. Everyone is lost. More importantly, the games are losses and there is no sign of it stopping with the surprising Ducks coming to town Saturday.
