(HockeyStL) – What used to be a rare occurrence is starting to become a nightly thing for the Blues – Barret Jackman scoring a goal.
Jackman put the Blues up early 1-0 against the Blue Jackets Thursday with his second goal in as many games. It marks the first time he has scored a goal in back-to-back games.

The 31-year-old defenseman also scored a go-ahead goal against the Wild in a 5-4 overtime victory Sunday. Jackman has recorded two goals in a single season for the first time since 2009-10.
Earlier this week, Kevin Shattenkirk joked that it would be a “bad, bad year” if the less offensive-minded Jackman scored more than him this season. Right not the goal count favors Jackman by two.
“I told him as long as I’m giving him the puck before he scores I don’t care,” Shattenkirk said.
Unfortunately for Shattenkirk, the assists on the goal were given to Ryan Reaves and Jamie Langenbrunner. It was their first point each this season.
