(HockeyStL) -- The St. Louis Blues lost goaltender Jarsoslav Halak in the first period against the Minnesota Wild due to a lower-body injury.

Halak appeared to be injured when he attempted to make a right pad save on a wide shot with a few seconds remaining in the period.

Brian Elliott, who hasn’t appeared in a game since March 5, entered the game in relief. Elliott rejoined St. Louis after making two starts, including a shutout, with the AHL-affiliate Peoria Rivermen this weekend.
