(HockeyStL) -- The St. Louis Blues cut their roster down to 31 players after assigning 18 to the AHL-affiliate Chicago Wolves.

After a 3-2 overtime victory against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, the Blues sent down forwards Cody Beach, Alexandre Bolduc, Pat Cannone, Jacob Doty, Samuel Henley, Christian Hanson, Corey Locke, Mark Mancari, Tyler Shattock, Yannick Veilleux, Sebastian Wannstrom, defenseman Cade Fairchild, Evan Oberg, Brett Ponich, Brent Regner, David Shields, Taylor Chorney and goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Of the 31 players remaining, 18 are forwards, 10 defenseman and three goalies.

The roster will shrink to 23 players by September 30.
