(HockeyStl) - The Blues have signed enforcer Ryan Reaves to a four year, $4.5 million contract extension.

Reaves, 26, has appeared in 26 games this season, posting five points (two goals, three assists) while ranking 3rd on the club with 65 penalty minutes.  Overall, the 6’1’’, 224-pound forward has appeared in four National Hockey League (NHL) seasons, all with the Blues, recording 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) to go along with 346 penalty minutes, which ranks 21st among all players since 2010-11.

"We are happy to have Ryan in the fold for the next four years. He has grown into a well-rounded player and will continue to play an important role for our team moving forward,” St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong said

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was originally drafted by the Blues in the fifth round, 156th overall, of the 2005 Entry Draft.
