(HockeyStL) -- Hockey season officially started today for the St. Louis Blues.
Blues players underwent speed and endurance drills at the St. Louis Mills on their first day of camp. It was also the first time fans were able to see team's new players C Jason Arnott and RW Jamie Langenbrunner.
Arnott had 31 points in 73 games played last season with the New Jersey Devils and Washington Capitals. Langenbrunner, named an assistant captain last Friday, had 32 points in 70 games played last season. with the New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars.
The Blues are searching for their first playoff appearance since the 2008-2009 season. The team finished fourth in their division last season with 38-33-11 record.
The St. Louis Blues will play their first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night at the Scottrade Center.
