(HockeyStL) -- The Blues have announced that Jamie Langenbrunner is activated from the injured reserve and will play Sunday in Columbus. Langenbrunner was not expected to return this quickly, but his return is a pleasant surprise for the Blues who currently lead all NHL teams in points.

Langenbrunner has missed the last 10 games and his return is great news for the Blues as Langenbrunner brings a lot to the table and his leadership will be needed as the Blues prepare for the final haul of the regular season.

Jamie Langenbrunner has registered 4 goals and 17 assists in 57 games this year, and the young Blues’ players will be relying on his leadership to get them through the upcoming seven game road trip that starts on Sunday.

It appears that at least two more players (Kris Russell and Kent Huskins) will make their return to the lineup this week which will certainly help the Blues.

Stay tuned for more injury updates this week .
