(HockeyStL) -- Juggling a soccer ball is one of the pregame routines that fans don’t get to see the Blues players do. That’s because it takes place an hour before the game and underneath the stadium seats.

Members of the team form a circle and try to keep the soccer ball from hitting the ground. It’s as simple as that. The idea of the warmup is to get the feet moving and coordination down.

I’ve come across this pregame warmup on multiple occasions on my way through the Scottrade Center en route to the press box. I’ve come close to being hit by an errant kick a time or two, but overall the players are impressive jugglers.

Except for Wednesday night in Colorado. Take a look at the picture and you can see for yourself.

The photo shows Ryan Reaves standing at the very top of a ladder retrieving a soccer ball in the rafters. Not a safe idea, but at least he was able to get down from it unhurt.
