LOS ANGELES (KMOV) -- The Blues just wrapped up their morning stake at the Staples Center and there’s great news to report for Blues’ fans. Alex Pietrangelo will play Thursday night in game three against the Kings.
The defenseman, who was nursing a lower body injury he suffered in game one, practiced both Wednesday and Thursday.
“He’s in, feels good, he’s ready to go,” said Blues coach Ken Hitchcock.
Pietrangelo was not available for comment after practice, but his head coach was more than willing to speak about how much his return means for the team.
“He’s arguably our best player. It’s hard to believe one player makes that big of a difference. He’s going to have to play big minutes, he knows that,” Hitchcock said. “This series changed dramatically with that one play. Getting him back in is huge for us and hopefully we can surround him with better play.”
