(HockeyStL) -- For the first time since February 1, the Blues had Jaroslav Halak healthy enough to start in a game.

Halak was greeted with an early shot from Avalanche forward Jamie McGinn that clanked off the goal post, but faced only two shots in the first period. He would stop another 14 shots before the game went to overtime scoreless.

The Blues couldn’t help Halak with a goal on any of its 33 shots prior to Avalanche forward David Jones scoring with 16.4 seconds left in overtime.

Halak looked sharp overall stopping 19 of 20 shots faced. He is still one shutout shy of tying Glenn Hall for the franchise record of 16 shutouts.
