ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- St. Louis Rams wide receiver Torry Holt reflected on his career after announcing his retirement from football during a news conference Wednesday at the team’s training facility in Earth City.

Holt, a seven-time Pro Bowler with the Rams, signed a one-day contract with the franchise before retiring with the team that made him a first-round pick in 1999.

Holt spent 10 seasons with the Rams and is ranked 10th in NFL history in receiving yards (13,382) and 13th in receptions (920). As a rookie, Holt set a rookie Super Bowl record with seven passes for 109 yards against Tennessee in Super Bowl XXXIV

Holt caught 869 passes for 12,594 yards and 74 touchdowns with St. Louis, all three of those totals ranking second in franchise history behind Isaac Bruce, and was named to the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2000s.

He finished his career in 2009 with the Jaguars.
