PHOENIX (FootballStL) -- Arizona rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley has a legitimate shot at making his NFL debut this Sunday against the Rams.
Lindley entered his first NFL game last Sunday against the Falcons after John Skelton went 2-for-7 passing for six yards. The former San Diego State star completed nine of 20 passes for 64 yards.
Let’s just say he didn’t earn his spot because he has played well recently.
Ken Whisenhunt hasn’t tipped his hand on who will start against the Rams this week, but he did say after last Sunday game that he thought the young quarterback handled himself well.
Lindley was selected in the sixth round (185th overall) this year after he established Mountain West Conference career records for pass completions, pass attempts and passing yards.
