(FootballStL) -- Tavon Austin caught his first, and second, of what the St. Louis Rams hope will be many touchdowns in career in the second half against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Tiptoeing on the side of the end zone, Austin hauled in a pass thrown from Sam Bradford to give St. Louis its first touchdown of the game and trim Atlanta’s lead to 24-10 after the extra point.
The touchdown catch was upheld after a review to see if Austin maintained possession of the ball as he fell out of bounds. His first career touchdown catch capped a six-play, 74-yard drive for St. Louis.
Austin scored again with 2:09 left in the fourth quarter to pull the Rams within a touchdown of the Falcons. The 10-yard touchdown grab was his sixth reception of the game. He finished the game with 47 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
He also had two rushes for eight yards including a seven-yard scamper.
