Marc Bulger has thrown just three touchdown passes and has a rating of 68.2, but don't expect coach Steve Spagnuolo to change quarterbacks.
The Rams, at 1-7, have a bye this weekend before hosting undefeated New Orleans on Nov. 15, and Spagnuolo has been generally pleased with his 32-year-old quarterback. Bulger hasn't had much help from his inexperienced crew of receivers. Laurent Robinson began the season as a favorite target but he's out for the rest of 2009 with an injury. Donnie Avery is now the go-to guy, but he's been hurt on and off as well. Bulger remains optimistic. He says the Rams have shown some improvement every week, culminating with Sunday's 17-10 at Detroit, snapping a 17-game skid. Now, he says, the team must focus on consistency.
