ST. LOUIS (FootballStL) -- So it was a nice dream while it lasted. And the playoff dream lasted longer than anyone could have imagined after that 2-14 mess of 2011. I have no doubt the Rams can be a playoff team in 2013 if they address some needs on offense. And Jeff Fisher and Les Snead will likely get it done.

My first reaction following today's game is: OMG is Adrian Peterson good. He has NO peer right now in the NFL. None. He has it all and is impossible to contain for 60 minutes.

But the real damage was done by the Rams themselves. Self-inflicted wounds turned out to be the difference. The Vikings scored ten points in a span of 46 seconds of the second quarter. The Sam Bradford fumbled snap and the interception that followed were the crushing plays.

I give the Vikings full credit. They needed a win and came in and got it. They deserve to stay in the playoff hunt. The Rams do not.
