ST. LOUIS (FootballStL) – Women want to be with him while men just want his biceps, but it is the NFL that actually needs him. Who is he?
His name is Ed Hochuli and, according to Sports Illustrated’s Peter King, he has been prepping his fellow locked-out referees for a return to the field which could come as soon as this Sunday.
The burliest man in pinstripes has been holding conference calls every Tuesday night with 90 to 110 other so-called ‘real referees’ per week, according to King’s officiating source. He has also been giving the referees a weekly quiz similar to ones they might get during their normal weekly preparations.
This makes the legend of Hochuli that much greater.
