(FootballStL) - The Rams addressed a need on the offensive line with their first pick. They couldn't pass on the value of the best defensive lineman with their second.
They fill a need in their secondary with their third.
The Rams take Florida State's Lamarcus Joyner in the 2nd round to compete at multiple spots on defense. He said in a conference call that he got "a great vibe" from coaches during his pre-draft visit.
It's unknown exactly what spot Joyner will focus on, either CB or FS, but he says he'll do whatever the Rams way him to do. He jokingly said he'd put on 100 pounds and play guard if that's what it took.
The Rams traded up from the 44th pick up to 41 to get Joyner. They currently have a 3rd rounder left to use tonight barring any further moves.
