(FootballStL) -- The Rams climb in the NFC West got even tougher over the weekend. The Seattle Seahawks’ 23-20 overtime victory over the Houston Texans kept them undefeated at 4-0. Here’s how the West standings shake out for the Rams heading into Week 5:

Seattle             4-0

San Francisco  2-2

Arizona            2-2

Rams                1-3

This week, the Rams are back to work after getting thumped in back to back defeats to the 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.  Last Thursday, the Rams were held to just 188 total yards against San Francisco while getting completely shut down in the running game. The Rams were  able to gain just 18 yards on 19 carries. Meanwhile, stopping the run has been a huge problem for the Rams. The Cowboys’ DeMarco Murray rushed for 175 yards, while the 49ers Frank Gore amassed 153 yards.

Leads have also been tough to come by for the Rams. In every game his season, the Rams have trailed by double digits. The Rams made up an 11 point deficit against Arizona in the opener. However, the Rams could not make up gaps of 21 and 24 points against the Cardinals and Cowboys, and were down by 25 points in the 4th quarter to San Francisco.

Meanwhile, the Rams are also looking to improve on 3rd downs. The Rams were able to convert only 3 of 17, 3rd down coversions against the 49ers.  Relief could be on the way this weekend, in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Rams will host the winless Jags (0-4) at the Dome on Sunday.
