(FootballStL) -- After a day off, the Rams hit the field for their second day in pads on Wednesday.
Coach Jeff Fisher thought the Rams looked sluggish early on.
"It wasn't our best practice, but you're going to have one of those every once in a while" said Fisher. "You've got to push through it and correct it, and explain to them how important every rep is."
Rams rookie receiver Stedman Bailey continued his impressive training camp with a nice TD reception in the red zone drills. Bailey showing why he was one of the best route runners in the draft.
Second year wideout Brian Quick has also been impressive. Quick has been using his 6 '3 & 220 pound frame to create seperation with defensive backs, and he's caught the eye of his quarterback.
"He has all the physical tools in the world" said Sam Bradford. " To see him finally using his strength and his size is a really good sign."
Meanwhile, on defense, Bradford was picked off by safety T.J. McDonald. The rookie out of USC continues his physical presence in that Rams defensive backfield.
Football STL noticed two familiar faces to the St. Louis sports scene. Former Rams tight end Ernie Conwell was at training camp. Conwell is working for the NFL Players Association.
Fox Broadcaster Joe Buck was also on hand watching the Rams work out.
The Rams will hold a 5:30 PM practice on Thursday.
