(FootballStL) -- It was another cool, overcast day at Rams Park as the team held its first full contact practice with pads.
A number of collisions drew reaction from the crowd. Rookie running back Zac Stacy was extremely physical in pass protection drills against some hard charging linebackers. Stacy is a burly 5 ‘ 8 and 218 pounds.
Rookie linebacker Alec Olgetree continues to line up with the first team defense.
Coach Jeff Fisher had these thoughts after practice on the first day of full contact in pads:
“As it always is the case in the first day of pads, you look and your team just slows down. You're running routes fast with great team speed without pads, they put the plastic on, so its a process and tomorrow’s off and we’ll come back with pads on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. “
The Rams first open scrimmage will be held at the.Edward Jones Dome on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
