(FootballStL) -- St. Louis Rams quarterback Kellen Clemens hopes to return to the team in 2012 after stepping in for the injured Sam Bradford and A.J. Feeley late in the season.
“I would love to (return),” Clemens said. “It is a great organization. We are obviously better than our record reflects this year with injuries and the things that we have had to deal with. I think it is an organization that is definitely moving in the right direction. It would be a great opportunity.”
Clemens, who suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter on Sunday, threw for 546 yards with two touchdowns and an interception with a 52.7 completion percentage in the final three games for the Rams.
The x-rays on his ankle were negative following the game and he will undergo an MRI tomorrow to check the extent of the injury.
Clemens was claimed off waivers from the Houston Texans on December 7.
