ST. LOUIS (FootballStL) -- Danny Amendola was a surprise no-show on the Rams’ inactive list prior to facing the Cardinals on Sunday.  Today, the team’s leading receiver is “a little sore” after playing a limited number of snaps, according to Jeff Fisher.

“He’s a little sore, but he has a chance to get back on the practice field,” Fisher said.  “He’s healing, but it’s going to take some time to where he’s back to 100 percent so we just have to watch him during the practice week.”

That is definitely promising news as the Rams begin to prepare to face the 49ers on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome.

Amendola missed practice last week and was seen wearing a walking boot on his injured foot.  He was listed as active against the Cardinals after running on the injured foot 90 minutes prior to the start of the game.  Fisher also told reporters that Amendola said he would be able to work past the injury.

The team chose to rest Amendola for the second half of the game after he become sore from running a few plays in the first half.

Amendola caught one pass for 38 yards.
