The SIU women’s basketball team (4-17, 3-8 Missouri Valley Conference) closed out a four-game home stand Sunday with a 60-45 loss to the Bradley Braves (12-9, 8-3 MVC).
The women entered this game fresh off a loss on Friday to the University of Northern Iowa, 71-62, in their lone televised game of the year.
Precursors leading to their most recent defeat were issues the Salukis have struggled with all year — turnovers, getting out-hustled on the glass, and missed scoring opportunities beneath the basket and at the free-throw line.
Head coach Missy Tiber said the team put forth little effort in both aspects of the game — physically as well as mentally.
