COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri's move to the SEC likely spells the end of a Memorial Stadium halftime tailgating tradition.
Missouri is leaving the Big 12 after this season to join the Southeastern Conference.
Currently, Missouri allows fans to leave the stadium to smoke or grab a drink as long as their tickets are scanned ahead of time and when they return.
But the SEC restricts fans from leaving and re-entering football games.
The Columbia Missourian reports (http://bit.ly/sAaPHM) the SEC policy has been in place since 2001 and would require a vote of conference athletic directors to change.
