COLUMBIA (KMOV.com) – Missouri’s contest against ASU this week may have gotten more interesting.

When the Vegas line went from -7 to -3 in an hour, people started talking.

Now, the game has been scratched from betting boards across the Internet.

What this means to Tiger fans is a probable shakeup under center. All signs point to Franklin taking the week off and resting a sore shoulder for South Carolina. That means Corbin Berkstresser would get the start.

While the team has not confirmed anything to this point, sources told News 4 Sports that Franklin has about a 50 percent chance of playing Saturday night. Several other reports indicate Franklin is a game time decision.

While this is an interesting story in and of itself, it also opens up the possibility of Maty Mauk having to forfeit his red shirt status if Berkstresser goes down.

With the new helmet rule, Berkstresser could have to sit a play out if circumstances dictate.

Mizzou wouldn’t likely throw Mauk’s status out the window for that, but if anything more serious happens, things could get wild Saturday night.

We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
