Northern Iowa beats Western Illinois 34-0

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) -- Pat Grace threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns as Northern Iowa beat Western Illinois 34-0 Saturday night.

Grace connected for scores with Jarred Herring, D.P. Eyman and Ryan Mahaffey and added 63 yards on the ground. He tied with Derrick Law as the team's leading rushers.

The Panthers (7-3) outgained the Leathernecks (1-9) 398-112 and held them to just six first downs. Western Illinois was unable to convert on any of its 11 third-down situations.

Quentin Scott had two interceptions and Andre Martin had 1, all thrown by Leatherneck quarterback Wil Lunt.

Dre Gibbs led the Leathernecks' offense with 80 yards on 19 carries.
