The Missouri Tigers’ SEC debut didn’t exactly go as planned last weekend against the Georgia Bulldogs, losing 41-20 at Faurot Field.

But instead of huffing and puffing and making excuses for the resounding loss, fans took an opportunity this week to show their appreciation to the visiting fans.

A number of fans took out an ad (see above) and placed it in the Athens Banner-Herald.

“Our thanks to all of you Georgia Bulldog fans! What a terrific bunch of visitors you were – Friendly, gracious, and fun. We don’t like to lose around here, but both our teams played an undeniably exciting and awesome game! You gave us an unforgettable first game in the SEC, and we thank you for that. We hope you enjoyed your visit to mid-Missouri, and look forward to seeing you next time,” the ad read.

It was a classy move for a disappointed Mizzou fan base that could have reacted to the loss in a completely different way.
