ST. LOUIS (AP) -- With escalating ticket prices in sports, the St. Louis Blues are giving fans a chance to name their own price.

The Blues on Thursday announced a limited-time offer through Ticketmaster of a "Name Your Price" promotion. From Monday through Oct. 5th, fans can call 314-622-BLUE or go to www.stlouisblues.com, then tell the Blues what they are willing to pay for tickets. The team will review each offer and decide whether to accept it. Ticketmaster has agreed to make up the difference between the offer and the original price.

The offer is good for select seating sections for season tickets, game packages or single games in October.

The Blues say the name-your-price plan is a first in the sports industry.
