(KMOV) -- The Cardinals announced their roster today for the team's 2012 season opener Wednesday at Miami.
They plan to open the season with 12 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders and five outfielders. Carpenter, Craig and Schumaker will be placed on the disabled list.
The projected opening day roster includes:
PITCHERS: Mitchell Boggs, Jaime Garcia, Scott Linebrink, Kyle Lohse, Lance Lynn, Kyle McClellan, Jason Motte, J.C. Romero, Marc Rzepczynski, Fernando Salas, Adam Wainwright, Jake Westbrook.
CATCHERS: Tony Cruz, Yadier Molina.
INFIELDERS: Lance Berkman, Matt Carpenter, Daniel Descalso, David Freese, Rafael Furcal, Tyler Greene.
OUTFIELDERS: Carlos Beltran, Matt Holliday, Jon Jay, Erik Komatsu, Shane Robinson.
DISABLED: Chris Carpenter, Allen Craig, Skip Schumaker.
