ST. LOUIS (AP) — Kevin Shattenkirk's first goal of the season midway through the third period sent the St. Louis Blues to a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday night. Ryan Reaves also scored for St. Louis and Jaroslav Halak stopped 19 shots as the Blues won for the 11th time in 15 games to start the season.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Maty Mauk threw five touchdown passes, four to Dorial Green-Beckham, and 9th ranked Missouri cruised past Kentucky 48-17 yesterday. Making his fourth consecutive start in place of the injured James Franklin, the Tigers' redshirt freshman completed 17 of 28 attempts for 203 yards and took full advantage of 6-foot-6 sophomore Green-Beckham, whose TD receptions set a school record.

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Jake Waters had a big day to help Kansas State run right over Number 25 Texas Tech. Daniel Sams chipped in too, running for two touchdowns of his own to lead Kansas State over the Red Raiders 49-26 yesterday. Sams' TDs came on a 1-yard rush and a 5-yarder, and Waters scored from 1 yard and 13 yards in Lubbock.

HOUSTON (AP) — Sporting Kansas City's Jimmy Nielsen made three saves, and Houston's Tally Hall had two stops as Kansas City and the Dynamo played to a 0-0 tie in the first leg of the Eastern Conference finals yesterday. The second leg will be November 23rd in Kansas City after a two-week break for FIFA international games.
