NAPLES, Italy (AP) — Luna Rossa Swordfish overcame a minor collision and beat Emirates Team New Zealand to set up a competition with its sister boat Luna Rossa Piranha in the semifinals of the America's Cup World Series.

Neither boat appeared to have much damage from the brief contact midway through the race in the Bay of Naples.

In Friday's other quarterfinal, Tom Slingsby's Oracle Team USA edged fellow American team HS Racing and will next face J.P. Morgan BAR.

In the fleet racing, Oracle and Yann Guichard's Energy team each posted 1-2 finishes to sit atop the leaderboard, with Oracle two points ahead.

The Naples leg of the World Series is the last before the Louis Vuitton Cup for challengers begins on July 4 in San Francisco.
