NEW YORK (AP) — St. Louis Cardinals prospect Mike Swinson has been suspended for 50 games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance under baseball's minor league drug program.

Swinson, an outfielder for Class-A Palm Beach, tested positive for Methylhexanimine.

The commissioner's office announced the ban on Monday and said it was effective immediately.
