SAN FRANCISCO (BaseballStL) – The danger was there once again in Game 7 for Cardinals starter Kyle Lohse, who allowed seven hits and five walks in a Game 3 victory.
He was equally ineffective Monday night as he was in Game 3, but he wasn’t bailed out by his offense this time around.
Lohse was relieved by Joe Kelly with the bases loaded and no outs in the third inning, and the Giants leading 2-0. All three base runners inherited to Kelly came around to score during the next at-bat.
Lohse, an impending free agent, threw 46 pitches and was charged with allowing five runs on six hits and a walk.
